Leftovers

Everyone deserves a slow Monday from time to time, including Hope n' Change. That's why we're serving up some cartoons which we posted on Facebook and Twitter over the weekend rather than coming up with anything absolutely brand-spanking new.

After all, look what we had to work with: the same government still puzzling over the "motivation" for the Chattanooga terror killings has just issued a warning for pet owners not to kiss their chickens because of a risk of salmonella.

And speaking of peckers, after the most recent round of previously sealed court documents, does anyone believe anymore that Bill Cosby isn't a a dreadful woman-drugging sex fiend and probable rapist? We can't bear to make jokes about it, because we're frankly miserable that we can never listen to our beloved old Cosby recordings again and enjoy them.

Meanwhile, back in the here and now, Lindsay Graham is attacking Donald Trump for insulting John McCain, and frankly we've got a suggestion for all three of them and a rolling doughnut. And on the Democrat side, candidate Martin O'Malley has officially apologized for upsetting a group of liberal activists by saying "all lives matter," which apparently is now seen by the Left as some sort of racist KKK rallying cry.

SOooo, here's some leftover levity with which to kick off the week. Hopefully there will be fresher pickin's by Wednesday!

I’ve often wondered about John McCain’s POW story about him refusing to be released early. A fellow Vietnam POW of McCain's warns of the candidate's "quick and explosive temper" and suggests McCain is exaggerating his imprisonment. Now McCain, all other POWs and all of our other veterans are hero’s in my book. But, I have no doubt that much like POS Kerry, there has been much exaggeration about their deeds for political purposes.
BTW, the author of the article says that they ALL were offered early release, but there were strings. McCain has said "he refused because others had been held longer than him and they should go first." I think it was more about the "strings."

Trump would probably start a war, but you know it would also be a real war... the kind where we actually go for winning and fully destroying the enemy. I don't think I'll vote for Trump but I find him kind of refreshing. Surely his lame comment was more personal about McCain than it was intended about all POW's.

USA has been getting into a lot of "actions" for several decades, being all political and civil about it, and losing them. Let's keep in mind the folks who go fight with ridiculous rules engagement and unnecessary exposure. Our spineless leaders need to either learn to either avoid the war or win the war. And after winning: take over. I'm especially tired of our leaders who get us into war, lose, and live to write books about it and become consultants.

John McCain was, at the very least, a poor pilot in Vietnam. At worst, he was a traitor while a POW:

In any event, he is a dyed in the wool RINO. His support of Ă˜bamacare, attacking Syria, and illegal amnesty prove that. Now he has called his own constituants here in Arizona "crazies" because they want a secure border with Mexico.
Regardless of Trump's motivation for denouncing the man, I feel his 33 years in congress is at least two decades too long. He is totally out of touch with the voter's wants and needs.

The President also gave the green light to Iran so it can light up the Empire State Building with the heat of a thousand suns.

I still read your Hope 'N Change - each time its posted online. Love reading your "take" of all things unjust, un-American, and plain un-true!!!

It's amazing how difficult some find it to determine the motivation of camel-shaggers and their converts to commit violence, (could it be the koran, or Larryhammed and Curlyhammed's buddy MOhammed?). Here is a dramatization (AKA, parody) of such an event:

https://youtu.be/Rd8cRvZZv44?list=PLC6E85A04BE93D81E

Here are some snippets from Yahoo (I pronounce YAYhoo) News, making the above link prophetic.

"He was a friend of mine, a good Muslim. But there were no red flags, nothing unusual. It is shocking," said another childhood friend, who prayed with him at the Islamic Center of Greater Chattanooga over the past month.
A little more than 24 hours after the shooting, the FBI said it continued to investigate it as an act of terrorism and that it was "premature" to speculate on the motive.
While friends and the family's neighbors said there were no signs that warned of his rampage, not all was going well for the young man. In April, he was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
"There's this misconception that Islam is a violent religion. Muslims are actually peaceful," a 17-year-old Yasmeen Abdulazeez told the Chattanooga Times Free Press in 2010.

My opinion of McCain is also a low one, but Trump really effed up this time. I think we shall see his numbers drop off a bit now, but who knows? Folks are tired of the same old political BS, and Trump sure ain't afraid to speak his mind; I find it refreshing. I had a good bit of respect for McCain back in 2007, but I think somebody shot his lead duck a few years back. Now, there seem to be some gears not meshing quite right in his old noggin.

Planned Parenthood (aka "The Mengele Clinic") is beyond the pale. Everyone involved in it deserves what (speaking of Nazis) Eichmann got in Israel, and that includes the politicians who happily fund it for self gain.

My heartfelt condolences to the families of the Chattanooga slain, but why are we not hearing about that dastardly ISIS flag that killed those innocent soldiers?

Tuesday's news: Jeez, you'd think McCain won the last election and thereby gained Presidential immunity against crass remarks. Trump also said he gave McCain $1 million and voted for him, and McCain lost. That's hardly disputable. Trump seems to be quicker study than most. How about we all vote for the one who says the least stupid or bullshit things? It seems like that could work... but oops, there go all the candidates.

Cosby: This is something I really wish wasn't true. During the '80s whenever I'd hear some brainless liberal prattle on about what a racist nation we were, I'd bring up the fact that the most popular and best paid entertainer of the entire decade was Bill Cosby, America's dad. (to be followed by Oprah in the '90s) Seriously, who would have minded having Bill Cosby as a neighbor? Well, now we know better. (We also used to feel the same way about O.J. Simpson until we found out what a monster he really was as well)

The reality about Cosby is even more distressing considering that publicly, he was an outstanding role model and one of the few outspoken critics of degrading and retrograde black culture in America. Over three decades, Bill Cosby single-handedly did more to bridge the gap between white and black America than any alphabet grievance group or government program.

Trump vs McCain: Battle of the A**holes. Although I think Trump jumped the shark by with some of his McCain comments, Mark Steyn had an interesting take on the battle:

"Still, we are speaking about degrees of a**holery here. I can't quite honestly imagine how big an asshole I'd have to be to tell that Chelsea Clinton joke into a live microphone, as John McCain did. But if "there's a place in our party" for such a man, there's certainly no reason why there shouldn't also be a place for Donald Trump."

So maybe now the Republican bigshots could drop the queeny hysteria and begin talking about something - anything - that matters?"

Oh, and our relations with Iran are going swimmingly well:

Kerry says Iran vow to defy U.S. is 'very disturbing'

The ink isn't even dry or ratified, and Iran is already pledging to disregard it. Kerry is "disturbed", in more ways than one.
